AN ORDINANCE ADOP~P!NG REGlfLATIONS OF TF.E NATIONAL BOAP.D OF

, The Council of th~~ City of Po.lo Alt<' DO ORDAIN as follows:
Section :~ The regulations of the National Bon.rd of·
Fi!'i! Underwriters for the installat:ton of all c1il ,.b'tll"ning
equ:ipznent as recommended by the Na.t:to:ns.l Fire F'roteetion
Assc>ciation, which regu.la:;;ions became effective· April 1,1934,
are hereby adopted .t."or the City of :?alo Alto with the mnend-.
men~l:is set forth in Section 2 of t...'ltls ordinance •
Section ~a. (a) Section. 7-a of said regulations is
heroby al!lended to read as follows:
§ect;ion 7-a. "Oil sup;ply tanks sno1::.ld prefe:r-

which tank is~ connected, tio pr·event discharge of oil,
through a broken pipe or c 1ormection by syphoning. u
(b) Section 11 of said regulations is ·:.:Lereby am,ended
as follows: Tank,s having a capacity o.f 7 to 285 gallons sh.all
be·of a :minimum thickness of 24 gau,ge instead of 16 gauge as
provided in the t~Lble. Tanks ba~::tnp; a capacity c1.f 286 to S6C1

14 gauge as provided in the table.
(c) T'ne first sentence of: Section 12-,c of said regu-
