ORDINANCE OF 1HE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
MAKING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SEWER
UTILITY F~!ND -CHARLESTON TRUNK SEWER, PROJECT 65-4
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Articl-..
III of the Palo Alto Charter, the City Council did on August 9,
1965 adopt a budget for the fiscal year 1965-1966, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make an additional
appropriation of receipts in excess-of the total appropriations
made by. said budget.
~mw, THEREFORE,· the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
That the sum of $550,000 is hereby additiondlly appropriated
in the Sewer Utility Fund with the budget objects of "Capital
Purchases''-$543,000 and "Inter-Department Services'~-. $7,000.
That this appropriation supersQdes the appropriation= that
was approved in the Operating Budget of the Sewer Utility of
1965-1966 for this project.
That the purpose of this appropriation is to provide Jor
the ei1gineering and contract construction costs of the "Charleston
Trunk Sewer -ProJect 65-4".
That monies on·hand in the Capital Reserve AccoUnts of the
Sewer· Utility Fund' in the amount of $431,000 and current revenues
~ ..: ..
for the'Ffscal .¥ear 1965":'196~ may be applied in support of this
appropriation.
That this ordinance,: being aft ordinance requi:red tq be
passed ·"for th~·purpose of camplying with the Charter, shall
become effect~.ve. upon adoption and passage.
