The ·Council of the City of Palo Alto DO O.RDAIN as .follows:
. · . · Every person, firm or corporation engaged in the
.~usiness or occ:µpation oi' an itinerant vendor shall pay a
.License fee of T;.,enty-.five Dollars ($25.00) · p1::r day. .
The words "Itinerant vendor." shall be construed
to.mean and#nclude all persons, both ;rincipal and agent,
vrho engage in a temporary and transient business in the
City of Palo Al tp.,, selling goods, vmres or merchandise,,.
wi_th the intention of continuing said business in said
city for a period of not moi·e than ninety days, and w.l:'lo for
the purpose oi' carrying on such busines!:Thir\;, . lease or
occu,py any room, building or structure for the exhibition

p1~is,on or i'irm so enga.ged shall not be relieved from the

commercial: travelers er selling agents selling thei:-,goods

d.eLiveries, ·oy sample or otherv:ise,. nor. to hawkers on the
st:c-,eet, nor peddlers from vehicl·as, nor to persons sellh"lg
frn:it,. vegetables, butter, eggs, or othe:::-farm ::ir ranch
