as fol.Lows:
Section 641A of the Health Coc;e is heraby amended
to read as. follows:
Sec .. 641A.. .e~:c:.mit and Ins}tec~ion Fees. A permit
and.· inspection. fee shall .be char·ged to any person,
firm or corporation. maintaining any business coming
within the class.ifications as enumerated in Section
641,. at the rates set forth un.der the following
three class.ifications:
_ (l) A permit and :i.nspection .f.ee: of six dollars
($6~00) per-year shall be charged any persor.., firm,
or corpo?"ation maintaining a place or operating a
vehie,le .from which groceries, vegetables, meat,
.. fish~ poultry or other foods, or any combinatioD
. tber:eof are·. sold ..
· · . (2) A per:mi t and inspection fee o.f six dollars
($6 .OO) per ~rear shall be charged any person, firm
or corporation maintaiTI.i:ng a place ·.vhere candy, ice
·cream or bakery products are manufactured.
·. (3),A permit and inspection fee of twelve dollars
($12.00) peI' year shall be charged any person, firm
or corporation maintaining a restaura:ot, soda
1 .. ou:ntain, lunch counter or any other type of
establishment .. where food is consu.med 1:>n the nrernises. . ~
Where t!~ere are com'bination.s of t:::ie above class
ifications the permit and inspection fee shall be the
largest charged for a:oy sinc;;le class of the combination.
Said fees shall be payable annually in advance.
Permit and inspection fees shall not be charged
the Palo Alto schools and the Palo Alt~,Shelter.
The above a:.!lend.ed schedule of permit and inspection
fees is hereby made retroactive to July 1, 1933 and
fees paid from and after tilat dace shall be made to
apply according to the above sch·::dule.
The City Clerk is directed to post a copy of this
ordinance upon .the bulletin beard at the City Hall upon
passage.
The above ai1d foreg :;:,ing ordinance was duly and
regularly•introduced at a regular meeting of the Council
of the City of Palo Alto held en Monday, 'Che 13th day cf
November, 1933, and was thereafter or1 Tuesday, the 28th
day of November, 1$33, duly and regularly passed.by the
foll.owing vote:
