The Council of the City of Palo Al to DO o~,t;AIN as follows:
That S.ections 2 and 5 of Ordinance No. 522 be
amended to read as follows:
~Q.ti...Q;l ?! . Every· contractor performing work
w:L thin the State of California at the expense of said
·City, whether such work be done directly by or under
a contract duly awarded, or indir.:~ctly by or under sub
contract, su.bpartnersh1p, day la'bor, station work,
piece work;. or under any ,other arrangement whatsoever,
:must employ r:esidents of said City in the performance
of all skilled S:.."2d/or unskilled labor under such
contract .or other arrangement~
Section 5... It shfi..11' be 1.awful for, and it shall
be the duty of., every Board1 Department, Commission or
other 17':u.bI:tc .Bo!ly of said City, to require said contractor
to file an affidavit each month with such Board,
Department; Commission or other Publi;c Body of said City,
setting out:. ·
'rhe, :number of laborers he emplo:led;
(b) The names ;and addresses -of sll men employed
and the. number of· hours and wages of each employee.
The above a:nd foregoing . ordinance was introduced
at a regular meeting of the Council of the City ·of Palo
Al to on !v!o.nday, the 13:th day of November,, 1933, and on
the. same data all rules were waived. a.nd the ordinance
was 'passed on first reading as an emergencJi· ordinance:r
by the fellowing -vote on :roll call:
