The Council of the City. of Palo Al to DO ORDAIN as· follows d

· t:han two: s.t:ories in '·height, -·there shall be provided
at;··1e!tst. o:p.e fire~ escap.e.-: . ·W.he.n such, apartment
house or hotel~.or lodging or rooming house is o:f'
sem.1-:fireproof or wooden construction, wherein the
floor are.a exceeds ~r, 000 square feet on any one floor
above .. the second floor the~of, there shall be
provided one additional fire escape for each 4,000
