The Council of the City of Palo Alto do ordain as follows: Section 1. A municipal electi.on is hereby called to be held·. on the second 1:.onday of May, being 1.lay 11, 1925, for the purpose of selecting six councilmen as members of the Council of the City of Palo Alto, as provided by the freeholders' charter of said city. Said election shall be co~ducted as provided by Article III of ?art I of Codified Ordinance !fo. 1 ()f the City of Palo Alto; .?rovided, however, that the election precincts and polling places· shall be consolidated, established and constituted as provided by the election notice herein. Russell Judge: Clerk: Ballot Clerk: The polls shall be opened at said polling places at six o'clock in the morning of said day of election, and shall be kept open ·mtil six o'clock in the evening of said day, whe~ the polls shall be closed. It is Hereby Ordered and Required, that official printed ballots shall be used for voting at said election, and the names ~f all candidates nominated b~r petition as candidates for said election shall be printed in alphaoetical order for the long and short terms respectively upon said ballots, and a voting square shall be printed after the name of each candidate. Voters in voting for said candidates f0r the office of councilman shall stamp a cross in the square after the name'of the candidates for whom they desire to vote for said office of councilman. Voters in voting for said councilmen shall use only the official ballot and the official stamp furnished for said purpose by the City of Palo Al.to, and shall vote for six candidates for the office of councilmen, and no more, five for the term of six yea.rs and one for the term of four· years.
