AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 47 OF ARTICLE VIII
OF PART III RELATING. TO ANIMALS RUNNING A.T LARGE
The Counoll: of the Cl ty of Palo Al to
do ordain as follows:
Section l~ Section 47 of Article VIII
of Part III of the Codffied Ordinances of the
City o~· Palo Alto is h~~eby amended to read as
'fOllOVTS:
"Section 47.-l!CENSE. An ani:na.l license
of two dollars shall be.-paid on every male dog,
or neuter dog for which· a veterinaryis certificate
is shown, and of :four dollars on every fem:ale
dog, owned or harbored in said city. Every
person.owning or harboring any dog in said c:i.ty
shall pay such licensi; tax therefor. which shall
be paid in advance on'' or before the f.irst 1iay of
July of each year. Licenses herein provided
for shall be signed by the Tax Collector and issued
in the same manner as licenses are or may :n.ereafter
be issued for doing business for which a license
tax is or may be required, and the money C<)llected
~~or such license shall be paid into the Ge11eral
l''und of the c 1 ty. The license shall be zi.umbered, rt
The City Clerk ta hereby di:r·ected to post
this ordinance on the Bulletin Board in tho City
Hall and the s!lme shall p,o into effect from a:nd

The above and foregoin~ ordinance wes duly
passed by the Counc 11 ~f the City of Palo .f,l to on
the llth day of August, 1924, by the following vote:
