ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
M.ffiNDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1978 ... 79 TO
PROVIDE FUUDS FOR THE DESIGN FOR CLOSURE OF THE
LANDFILL
miEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council of June ll~,
1978, did adopt a budget for fiscal year 1978-79; and
'VHEREAS, the City of Palo Alto desires to contract for the pre~
paration of a flexible design for the closure of the landfill; and
WHEREAS, the Council's action on June 18, 1979, to close the
1978Ml979 budget is not intended to prohibit this amendment;
NOH, THEREFORE, the Council o.f the C:i.ty of Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of One Hundred Thirty-eight. Thousand Five
Hundrea.Eighty-seven Dollars ($138,587) is appropriated to the Systems
Iropt·overnent P-roeram of the RefuGe Operating Budget 1 and the Reserve
for Systems Improvement of the Refuse Utility Fund is correspondingly
decreased,
SECTION 2 .. The Council finds that this is not a project for
purposes of tne. CuJ.:l.fornia Environmental Quality Act and no env.iron
mental assessment is necessary.
SECTION 3. This orciinance shall become effective in:unediately
as pro·VI<fea-in Section 12 of Article III of the. Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
