2. Public Ageucy shall participate in the Public Employees' Retir~ent

election of a contracting agency and are uot provided for herein

3. Employees of Public .Agency in the following classes shall become
~bers of said Retirement Syst~m except such in eacn such class
as are exdu.d.ed by law or this agreement;

In nrlaiti~n to the classes of employe~s cxclud~d from membership by

4. The frac.ti.of .final compensation to be p.ided fo'f' eacn year of ,.1 t

be determined in accorda~ce with s~ction 21251.13 of said Retirement
Law (2% at age 60)~
5.. The fraction of f:in.al co~npen.sation t.o be provided far each year

be determined in accordance with Section 21252.01 of said
Retirement Law (2% at age 50).
6. The following additional provisions of the Public Employees' Retirement
Law \lhich apply only upon election of a c:ootracting agency shall apply
ta the PubH.c Agency and its employees:

S.. Fublic .\gen.ha.ll contribute to said Reti~t Sy!item as follows;

contribute the following percentages of monthly salariP.s
earned as miscellaneous membex-s of said Retirement System:
(1) 0.242 percent until June 30, 2000 on account of the
lJ..abUity for prior service benefits.
(2) 11.048 percent on ac~ount of the liability for current
~ervice benefits.
(J) 0.148 percent on account of the liability fo:: the
1959 Survivor P~ogr~~
b, With respect to local safety mem.be!·s, the .:t3~ncy shall
contribute the fo11Qwing percentages of mon.t:hly salaries
earned as local ~afety ~~be~s of s3id Retirement System;
0.) 0 .. 427 percent until June 30, 1981 on account of the

c. A reasonable amount per annum, as fixed by the Board to cover

d.. A rea.sor.1able ~ount as fi.."'ted by the Board, payable in one
installment as the occasions arise, to cover the' costs of
