ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 3097 ESTABLISHING A
1'-10RATORIUM ON THE ISSUANCE OF PERM.ITS FOR THE
ESTABLISill1ENT OF USES REQUIRING AN OFF-SALE
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES LICENSE IN CN NEIGHBORHOOD

WHEREASt on November 20, 1978 by Ordinance No. 3097, the Council
imposed a moratorium on the issuance of permits for the establishment
of uses requiring .an off-sale alcoholic beverages license in CN
Neiqhborhood Commerciu.l zones; and,

h'HEREAS, on uecernber 18 , 1978, the City Council
1ntroduced Ordinance No. 3104 1.vhich would establish such regu-

Nm·;r, THEHEF'ORE, the Council of the City of Palo l>.lto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION l~ Ordi~ance No. 3097 of November 20, 1978 shall
be and is hereby repealed in its entirety~ said repeal to become
operative upon the effective date of Ordinance No. 3104 .
SECTION 2. The Council hereby finds that the adoption
of this Ord1.nance is not a project for the purposes of the
Ca .l i forni.:.'l Environmental Quality Act.
SECTION 3. This Ordiriance shall become ~ffective upon
the corrunencement of the thirty-first day after its adoption.
