ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AND ADOPTING A PLAH FOR THC H~STALLATIOl~
OF LANDSCAPE PfPROVEHEU'rS IH THE PALO ALTO YACHT
HARBOR
H11EREAS 1 Arti.cle VIII of the Cha.rter of the City of Palo Alto
and Section 22.08. 005 of the Palo Alto Nunicipnl Cod.e require that

cause to be prepared ~nd by ordinance approve and adopt a plan
therefor; and
ffilEREAS 1 the City Souncil did by Ordinance No. ?252, adopted
in 196.5, pl8.ce Byxbee Park r.md the City-o~vned Baylands and the
Palo Alto Yacht H~rbor on the list of lands used or intended to be
used for park purposes; and
m.mREAS I the Council desires to allcnv the installation and
construction of certain landscape improvements and resurfacing in
said Byxbee Park and the City-mmed Ba·ylands and the Palo Alto
Yacht Harbor, pursuant to plans prepared therefor.
NOH, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
OPJ)AIN as follows:
SECTIOH 1. The landscape improvements sho-vm on the document
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A, 11 inco·:po:r.ated her~:in by this
!.'eference, and the :r.:esurfacing plans for the, Yacht Club area shown
on the document attached hereto) marked Ex.hibi t nB, 11 incorporated
herein by this reference, shall be and the same hereby are approved
and adopted as the development plan for said improvements pursuant
to Section 22.08.005 of the Palo Alto Hunicipal Code.
The construction of the resurfacing improvements ahm-m in
Exhibit "B" shall be and hereby is expressly conditioned upon. the
~eservation and construction of a public path as previously re
quired by the Bay Conservation and rt:velopment Commission (BCDC).
Said path shall be completed and marked in a fashion so that it is
easily recognizable to the general public as 2. public path,
SECTION 2. The Council fi.nds that this project ·Nill have no
significant~viror~ental impact.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon the
commencement of the thirty-first day after the day of its passaBe.
