ORDINANCE NO. . 3082 -----
ORDINANC.E OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AND ADOPTING A PL.AN FOR T'HE CONSTRUCTION
OF PHASE II LANDSCAPING AND O~HER IMPROVEMENTS
IN BOL PARK
WHEREAS, Article VIII of the Charter of the Ci t.y o.f Palo
Alto and Section 22. 0 8. 0 05 of the Palo Alto H.l.micipal Code
:x:equh::e that be:fore a.ny substantial building, construction,
reconstruction or development is commenced or approved upon or
with respect to any land h~ld by the City for park purposes the
Cow1cil shall first cause to be prepared and by ordinance
approve and adopt a plan therefor; and
h'HEREAS! the Ci·ty Council did iJy Ordinance No. 2986,
adopted in 1977, place Bol Park on the list of lands used or
L1te.uded to be used for park purposes; and
.WHEREAS, the Council desires to allow construction of
Phase II landscaping and other improvements locat.ed in Bol Park,
pursuant to plans prepared therefor; and
WHEiillAS, completion of the proposed improvements at as
early a date .as possible will enhance the public health, safety,
welfare and interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto
does ORDAIN as follows:
SE.CTION 1. The improvements shown as Phase :CI on the
document attached hereto, marked EXHIBIT A, enti t:led ·lS 11 B01
Park Expansion!j be and the same hereby are approve.ci and adopted
as a development plan pu;csuant to Section 22.08.005 of the Palo
Also Municipal Code.·
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this project will have
no signi'ficar.t-enviromnental impact •
. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall b~come effeqtive upon
the corrunencemen't: of the thirty-first day after the day of its
passage.
