ORDINANCE OF 'rHE COUNCIL 01" THE CITY 01? PALO ALTO
APPROVING AND ADOP'l'ING A PLAN FOR rl'HE
CONSTRUCTION AND PLACEMENT OF A STO.R.H DRAIN
OUTFl'..LL POR THE COAST CASEY PUMP STATION OF THE
CITY OF MOUNTAIN VImv
WHEREAS, Article VIII of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto and
Section 2 2. 0 8. 0 0 5 of t.he P2llo Alto Municipal Code require t.ha t be.fo::.-e
any substantial building~ construction, reconstruction or development
is cmnmenced or app1:oved upon or. \.-ii th respect tc any land held by the
City for park purposes the Council shall first cause to be prepared
and by ordinance approve and adopt a plan therefor; and
WHEREAS; the City Council did by Ordinance No. adDpted
Sept.emb~-;r 13, 196 5 1 place Byxbee Recreation Arc~ a/Palo Alto Bay lands on
the list of lands used or intended to be used for park purposesi and
vJHEl&::As 1 the Council des.b::·es to allm..; cons·truction and placement
of a storm drain outfall, located in the Flood Basin of the Daylands,
pursuant to plans prepared therefor; and
· WHE.REAS, completion of the proposed improvements at as early a
date as possible will enhance the public health, safety, welfare and
interest;
NOW, THERE~'ORE, the Council of the Ci t.y of Palo Alto docs ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1.. The document. attached hereto, marked EXHIBIT ll.f
entitled "Co~st Casey Pump Stati.on Storm Drain Outfall u be and the
same hereby is approved and adopted as a developm~:.'>!nt plan pursuant to
Section 22.08.005 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that this project will have no
significant environmental impact.

An access easement for the construction and maintenance of Coast Casey Pump Sta
tion-storm dralrloutfall and lake water intake structure, being the width of the
access roa.d of the existing 'levee and more accur·ately described as follows:
Beginning at the Easterly terminus of the line in the boundary of that certain
parcel of land described in the deed from Leslie Salt Company to the City of Palo
Alto recorded in Book 1951 of Official Records) at Page 216, Santa Clara County
Records described as North 69° 29 1 East, 178.00 feet and as shown on the attached
Exhibit 1 A' and designated as Point A for convenience; thence along sa~d access
