APPROVING Aim ADOPTIHG PLANS FOR THE REHODELING OF
FLOOD GATES lN BYXBEE PARK A!lD THE CT.TY-OHNED BAYLAUDS
HlillREAS, Article VIII of the Charter of the City of Palo Alt.o
and Section 22.08.005 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code require that
before any substantial build:i.n8 r construction~ reconstruction or
development is co!!1incnced or approved upon or with respect to any
land held by the City for park purposes, the Council shall first
cause to b~ prepared and by ordinance approve and adopt a plan
therefor; and

Septet!1ber 13, 19)5, place Byxbee Park and the City-owned baylands
on the list of lRnds used or intended to be used for park p11rposes;

SECTION 2. Tha Council hereby finds that this p~oject will
have no signiricant adverse environmental impa,:t.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon the
commence~~t--of the thirty-first day after the day of its passage.
