APJ1Y CORPS OF' ENGINEERS IH tHTIGA'l'IOH FOR CONTIHUED DISPOSAL OF REJ.<'USE AT THE PRESEHT SITE HHEREAS, pursnant t.o the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the CharteJ~' of the City c: Palo Alto, the Counci.l Oil June 14, 1978, did adopt a budget for th0 ~iscal year 1978-79; and \vHEREAS, the need to construct an appropriate tidal structure for the Flood Basin Mitigation Project exists, and the design con­ sultant, Koretsky King and Associates, has designed an appropriate modification of one of the existing flood gates; and 1TIIERRAS, bids have been submitted to carry out the completed design for the modification of one of the exis~ing flood gates, and the low b~d has satisfied the staff requirements as being appropriate :f. or the dlfficul t. task of installing thL~ system; and '~IEREAS, the existing balance of the appropriation made for this project consists of less than the amount of the low bid; NOH, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows: SECTIOn 1.
