AMEHDING THE 1978-79 BUDGET TO REFLECT THE RECEIPT
OF A GRANT FROH THE AMERICAN .PUBLIC PotYER ASSOCIATION
TO PROVIDE FOR A FEASIBILITY STUDY OF CONVERTING
EXISTIHG RESTDEHTIAL HF.A'l'IHG SYSTEHS TO HEAT PUHP

H1illREAS I pursuant to the provisions of Section 12. of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council on June 14,
19713, did adopt a budr,et for fiscal year 1978~79; and
HHEREAS, the Council did appropriate matching funds in the
Resource Conservation Subprogram of the Light and Pm.;rer Department
for the feasibility study;

SECTION 2. Departmental revenues for the Electric Utility Fund
are increas-ecrby Thirteen Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-six Dollars
($131556)'
SECTION 3. The Council finds that this project is exempt from
environmental assessment under Class 6 of Categorical Exemptions.
SECTION 4. 'l'his ordinance shall become effective immediately
as p!'ovideC:l In Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Hunicipal Code.
