CODE TP..ANSFERRING SIGN REGULATIONS FROM TITI..E 18
'1'0 TITLE 16 OF THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE
The Council of ~1e City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 16.20 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is
hereby' amended by adding Section 16.20,125 thereto to read as
follows: ·
"16. 20.125 Signs .in civic cer.+:er com.b:J.nl.ng districts. Si.gnB
permit ted in the " {C}1
! (Civic Center Con~ining) dis t:rict
shall be t:hB same as in the cc (Cmnmu:nity Conunercial) district
except as follows~
(a) Flashing, moving or: other.\·:ise animated signs shall l..le
prohibited.
(b) Th€: si:;.;e of wall signs shall be regulated by the tab.lc
attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and incorporated herein by
reference.
(c) Projecting signs shall be prohibited.
(cl) ~~hen th~ 11 (c)~ district is combined 1A'ith a distr-ict with
more restrictive sign ~egulations than the cc district, the
more restrictive regulations shall govern.11
SEC'I'ION 2. 'l'he Coun~::il finds that the adoption of this
ordinance 1s not a project as defined by the California Environ
mental Quality Act.
SECTION 3. This ordinance .3hall bet:"ome effective upon the
conunencemerltO'f the thirty-first day follcwing its adoption.
