HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 2850l' ORDINANCE NO. 2850 ORIGINAL ORDI~~CE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1974-1975 TO APPROPRIATE $25,000 TO PARTICIPATE WITH OTHER AGENCIES IN THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ADEQUATE FUTURE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council of the City of Palo Alto on June 25, 1974, did adopt a budget for the fiscal year 1974-iS; and WHEREAS, the establishment of adequate future electrical supply would be beneficial to the City of Palo Alto in meeting long-range electric energy needs; and WHEREAS, the budget for the-fiscal year 1974-75 should be amended to appropriate Twenty~five thousand dollars ($25,000) to participate with other agencies in the establishment of an adequate future electrical supply; NOW~ THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo AJ.to does ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. The 1974-75 appropriation for the Electric Fund, Administrative Subprogram 233-121-323~ Contract Services, is increased Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25.000) and the unappro­ priated balance of the Capital Improvement Fund is correspondingly decreased by a like amount. SECTION 2. The Council finds that this ordinance is not a governmental action as defined by Section 11.04.100 of the P~Llo Alto Municipal Code, and, therefore, no environmental assess~1ent is necessary. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately as provided in Se,ction 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
