ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE
TO ADD A NEW SUBSECTION 5. TO SECTION 18.71.060
(USES REQUIRING USE PERMITS) TO PERMIT CEMETERIES
IN THE 0-S DISTRICT

The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as
follows:
SECTIOU 1. Section 18.71.060 (Uses Requiring Use Permits)
of the P,alo Alto Municipal Code is hereby amended to add a
new subsection to read as follows:
~s. Cemeteries, not including mausolea. crematoria or columbaria. hil markers of graves shall be flush with
grade level and be deemed to be impervious area unaar this
chapter."
SECTIOh 2. The Council finds that the passage of this
ordinance will have no significant enviromnental impact.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall bec:>me effective upon
the commencement of the 31st day after the day of its passage.
