ORDIN~~CE No. 2825
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR TilE FISCAL YEAR 1974-75
TO PROVIDE AU ADDITIONAL $12,000 IN THE REFUSE
-UTILITY FUND FOR LAGOON MITIGATION WORK
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of
Article III of the Charter of the City o~ Palo Alto, the
Council did o~ June 25, 1974, adopt a budget for the fiscal
year 1974-1975; and
WHEREAS, the City is now required to perform mitigation
work on the Lagoon, pursuant to the requirements for obtain
ing a permit and discharge standards for the landfill
operations; and
WHE~~. the costs of this engineering work are expected
to be $12,000 and these costs have not been provided for in
the 1974-75 budget;
Nm.J, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto
does-ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum of $12,000 is appropriated in the
Refuse Puna. contract services, for the activities associated
with the mitigation work for the permit for the refuse land
fill. The unappropriat~d balance of the Capital Imp1*0Vement
Fund should be reduced by $12,000 to p·rovide for this appro
priation.
SECTION 2. This o~dinance shall be.come effective irr..mediately
as provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and
Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Hunicipal Code.
