ORDINA1'1CE OF THE COUNCIL OF ... THECITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1974-1975
TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL $39,650 IN THE REFUSE
UTILITY FUND FOR MARSHLAND MITIGATION EFFECTS IN
THE PALO ALTO FLOOD BASIN
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of S~ction 12 of
Article III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council
did on June 25, 1974, adopt a budget for the fiscal year 1974-
1975: and
WHEREAS, the City is now required to.prepare an analysis
of marshland mitigation effects in the Flood Basin as a con
dition ·for continuina landfill ooerat.ions; and

WHEREAS, the costs of these· activities are expected to he
$39,650 and the~e costs have not been provided for in the 1974-
1975 budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the Ci t:y of Palo P.lt.o does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION L The sum of $39,650 is appropriated in the Refuse
Fund, contract services, for an analysis of marshland effects· in··
the Palo Alto Flood Basin. The unappropriated balance of the
Capital Improvement Fund should be reduced by· $39,650. to provide
for this appropriation~
SECTION 2~ This ordinance shall become effective immediately
as provlded in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and
Section 2 .. 04o375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Codeo
