ORDINANCE NO. 2819
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCI~ OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1974-1975 TO
INCREASE THE ESTIMATED REVENUES AND CONTRACT
SERVICES APPROPRIATION AND TO ESTABLISH A RESERVE
FROM THE PREVIOUS FISCAL YEAR FOR 1974-1975
APPROPRlATIONS IN THE .REFUSE UTILITY
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section .12 of Article.
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council of the
City of Palo Alto did.on June 25, 1974, adopt a .budget for fiscal
year 1974-1975; and
WHEREAS, Refuse Utility revenues have been reevaluated and
should he increased by $208,871 for 1974-1975; and
WHEREAS, undez the terms of the contract with Palo Alto
Sanitation Company this \Odll result in additional expenditures
of $95,893; and
WHEREAS, this will result in a break-even budget instead of
the net operating loss of $112,978.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo AH:.o does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1~ The 1974-1975 estimated revenues for the Refuse.
Utility Ee increased by $208,871. The 1974-1975 appropriation.
for payments to Palo Alto Sanitation Company be increased by
$95,893.
SECTION 2. This ordinance ;shall.become effective i~~ediately
as provi<fed in Section 1·2 of· Article III of the .Charter and· Sec
tion 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
