ORDINANCE OF 'rHE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO AL'rO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1974-75 TO
APPROPRIATE $23,300 AS PALO ALTO'S CONTRIBUTION
TOWARDS FlNANClNG THE 1975 SANTA CLAPA COUNTY CENSUS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto 1 the Council d1d on
June 25, 2974, adopt a budget for fiscal year 1974-75; and
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara wishes to conduct a special
census in 1975; and
WHEREAS, this census would provide Palo Alto with curr.ent
population and housing data for City programs and federal grant
applications; and
WHEREAS, Palo Alto's share of the cost for financing the census
would be $23,300, which is over and above the amount contained in
the 1974-75 budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The 1974-75 appropriation for the Planning Depart
ment is increased by $23,300 for Contract Services.
SECTION 2~ This ordinance shall become effect.ive inunediately
as provided in Section .12 of Article I.II.of the Charter and Section
2,04.375 of the Palo Alto MIJnicipal CodP.·,
