ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO AitTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAit YEAR 1974-75
TO ADD $23,667 FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT THE PALO ALTO
CHILDREN'S THEATER, PROJECT 73-32
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of
Article III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council
did on June 25, 1974, adopt a budget for fiscal year 1974-75; and
WHEREAS, the Council has included in the 1974-75 budget,
Capital Improvement Fund, Project 73-32, Children's Theater Improve
ments, to provide for improvements at the Children's Theater; and
WHEREAS, the low bid for the general construction work for
said project is approximately $10,000 higher than the project con
struction budget; and
WHERBAS, the removal of architect.ural barriers for the handi
capped in the Children's Theater, not previously budgeted, will
cost in excess of $18,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Increase the appropriation for Capital Improvement
Fund, Project 73-32, by $28,667 and correspondingly reduce the
unappropriated balance of the Capital Improvement Fund.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
as provided in Section 1?. of Article III of the Charter and
Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
