ORDINANCE NO. 2849
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1974-75 TO
PROVIDE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPENSATION PLAN
FOR. FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL
WHEREAS, on March 31, 1975, the Council of the City of Palo
Alto approved·a .neqotiated·compensation plan for City of Palo
Alto employees represented by the International Association of
Fire Fighters (hereir.after, "IAFF") , and
WHEREAS, the term of said negotiated compensation plan is
from December 22, 1974, to December 20, 1975; and
WHEREAS, the 1974-75 budget made no provision for an increase
in the ·compensation plan as negotiated with IAFF;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City·of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN-as followss
SECTION l. Appropriations in the General Fund for Fire De
partment Salaries ,and Benefits hereby are increased in the amount
o£ Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000) and the.Unappropriated Balance
of the Capital Improvement Fund hereby is decreased by the same
amount.
SECTION 2. The Council finds that none of the provisions
of this ordinanc·e will have a significant environmental impact.
SECTION" 3-. This ordinance shall-become effective im
mediately as provided in Section 12 of Article.III of the
Charter and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
