ORDINANCE NO. 2845
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1974-75 TO
IMPLEMENT A REVISED SIDEWALK REPAIR POLICY
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article III
of the Charter of the City· of Palo Alto, the Council did on June 25,
1974, adopt a budget for fiscal year 1974-75; and
WHEREAS, implementation of a revised sidewalk repair policy will
require substantially less sidewalk replacement and plade more em
phasis on preventative maintenance activities; and
WHEREAS, implementation of the revised sidewalk repair policy
requires a reallocation of existing appropriations;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the· City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN
as follows:
SECTION 1. The appropriation of Thirty Thousand Dollars (~30,000)
in the Capital Improvement Fund for Project No. 74-58, Sidewalk Replace
ment 1974-75, hereby is cancelled; Eleven Thousand Dollars ($11,000) of
said appropriation is transferred to the General Fund Streets Division,
Sidewalk Maintenarrce· Subprogram Equipmen·t Account for the purchase of
root sa\<T and trailer, and Nineteen Thousand Dollars ($19 ,000) of said
appropriation is returned to the unal1ocated balance of the Capital
Improvement Fund. ·
SECTION 2. The Council finds that none of the provisions of this
ordinance will have a B:ignificant environmental impact.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately as
provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter an ... l Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Al~o Municipal Code.
