ORDINANCE NO. J794
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AND ADOPTING A PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
OF A PRESCHOOL PLAYYARD WITHIN HOLLYWOOD PARK
(AKA MAYFIELD PARK) ADJACENT TO THE COLLEGE
TERRACE LIBRARY
~~REAS, Article VIII of the Charter of the City of Palo
Alto and Section 22.08.005-of the Palo Alto Municipal Code
require that before any substantial buildings construction,
reconstruction or development is commenced or approved upon or
wi.th respect to any land held by the City for park purposes the
Council shall first cause to be prepared and by ordinance
approve and adopt a plan therefor; and
WHEREASP the City Council did by Ordinance No. 2252 1 adopted
September 23, 1965, place Hollywood Park (aka Mayfield Park)
on , the list of lands used or intended to be used for park
purpoaes; and
WHEREAS, the Council proposed to develop a preschool playyard
within Hollywood Park (aka Mayfield Park) adjacent to the College
Terrace Library pursuant to a plan prepared therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. That the plan attached hereto, marked EXHIBIT
A identified-as 11 College Terrace Li.brary Preschool Center, 11
be and the same is hereby approved and adopted.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon
the exp1rat1on of thirty days from its passage.
