ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1973-74 TO
CONSOLIDATE THE EXISTING APPROPRIATIONS FOR FIVE
STREET IMPROVEMEN'i' PROJECTS INTO ONE PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the ~revisions o£ Section 12 of
Article III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council
did on June 18, 1973, adopt a budget for fiscal year 1973-74; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to consolidate the appropriations
for five street improvement projects into one project to effect
certain economies and facilitate project administration; and
WHEREAS, the consolidation of the appropriations will not
increase the total amount budgeted for the projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as· follows:-·
SECTION 1. Project 71-57, Kipling Street Reconstr~ction
($90,00~); Project 72~56, Byron Street Reconstruction ($22,000);
Project 72-59, Cowper Street Reconstruction ($40,000); Project 72-60,
Ramona Street Reconstruction ($45,000)1 and Project 73-64, Webster
Street Reconstruction ($26,000), shall be consolidated into one
project titled Street Reconstruction, with an appropriation of
$223,000.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immedi&tely
as provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and
Section 2~04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
