ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1973-74 TO
TRANSFER FUNDS FROM TRE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND
APPROPRIATION FOR HOUSING LAND BANK PHASE 3 TO THE
GENEP.AL FUND' APPROPRIATION FOR THE PLANNING DEPART
MENT FOR' IMPLEMENTATION OF A PIGGYBACK H~JSING
PROGRAM
WHEREAS·, pursuant to the provisions of. Section 12 pf
Article III of the Charter of· the City of Palo Alto, the' Council
of the City of Palo Alto did on June 18, 1973, adopt.·e i;)udget
for fiscal year 1973-74; and · ·
WHEREAS,· the need for addi t.ional ·housing for· low income
persons has been.recognize4 by the City; and
WHEREAS, the CoWlcil· wishes to i:mplament· a piqgyback
housinq· proqrarn to· increase· the number of· housing· units leased
by the santa: clara County·Housinq·AuthQ.rity in Palo Alto;
·NOW, TB!mEFORB·, the· C()lJnQil of the Ctty of Palo~ Alto' does
ORDAIN as follows&
· · · SECTXON 1~· The amount of Fifty Thousand ·Dollars ($50,000)
be transferred· from the Capital improvement Fund appropriation
for· Housing· Land· ·B~nk,. Phase 3 I to the General Fund appropriation
in the' budget for fisca~·year 1973-74· for the Planning Dep-arbr!ent,
contract aervices.
