ORDINANCE NO. 2731
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1973-74 TO
APPROPRIATE $14,757 TO PROVIDE FOR THE ACQUISITION
OF LAND FOR A WALKING ACCESS ROUTE TO MITCHELL PARK
FROM CHARLESTON ROAD
WHEREAS, pUr4§ant to the provisions of Section 12 of
Article III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the Council
of the City of Palo Alto did on June 18, 1973, adopt a budget
for the fiscal year 1973-74; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto desires to
provide funds to acquire land for a walkway entrance to Mitchell
Park from Charleston Road in order to improve access to said
park; and
\1HEREAS, it is estimated that $14,757 is required for the
acquisition and improvements of said walkway access; and
WHEREAS, said funds were not included in said budget for
fiscal year 1973-74;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The amount of Fourteen Thousand Seven Hundred
Fifty-seven Dollars ($14,757.00) hereby is transferred from the
unappropriated balance of the Capital Improvement Fund to
Project No. 69-33, Mitchell Park Improvements.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately as provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter
and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
