HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 2729.. •• ORDINl\NCE NO. 2729 ORDINANCE OF THE COut\CIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING SECTION 18.90.085 OF THE PALO ALTO MUNI- CIPAI~ CODE TO CHANGE THE LOT AREA REQUIREMENTS FOR USE PERMITS FOR SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES UNDER ON~SALE LICENSE, AND TO MAKE SUCH USE PERMITS TRANSFERl\BLE The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as fol- lows: SECTION 1. Section 18.90.085 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby an\ended to read as follows: 11 18. 90. OBS Use permits for sales of aic_oholic beverages. (a) A use permit shall be obtained whenever a new on-sale license is required by the State of California, and in the case of premises for which no use permit is in force, when­ ever a new on-sale license or a transfer thereof is required by the State of California. (b) No application for a use permit for the sale of alcoholic beverages under on-sale license from the State of California shall be accepted unless the standards in this section are met. In any block in which there exists resi­ dentially ~oned lot area equaling or exceeding twenty-five percent of the total lot area in the block, the maximum ntunber of use permits for sale of alcoholic beverages shaJ.1 be two. In all other blocks the max±mum number of use permits for sales of alcoholic beverages shall be as shown in the following table: Number of Use Permits 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 or more Square Feet of Com­ ~cially Zoned Lot 20,000 40,000 80,000 160,000 320,000 640,000 In the same progression.
