ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1972-1973
TO APPROPRIATE UP TO $5,794 FOR RESURFACING THE
JORDAN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS COURTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of
Article I I I of the Chart.er of the City of Palo Alto, the Counci 1
of the City of Palo Alto did on June 28, 1972, adopt a budget
for the fiscal year 1972-1973: which incl•lded an appropriation
in the amount of $31,000 i~ the Capital Improvement Fund for
improvement of the Tennis Courts located on the grounds of Jordan
Junior High School, said project being identified as Project
No. 71-39; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto at its meeting-
of .July 24, 1972, authorized the staff to rebid the project in
the Spring of 1973; and
WHEREAS 1 the cost of ~roviding the improvements will be $5,794
more than is aurrently appropriated for the project.
NOW, THERE70RE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The amount of $5,794 is additionally appropriated
in the Capital Improvement Fund for completion of Project No. 71-39
and that the unappropriated balance be correspondingly reduced.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
as provided in Section 12 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
