ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1972-73 TO
APPROPRIATE $5,300 AND TO ESTABLISH A POSITION OF
ASSOCIATE PLANNER 1~ THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT TO
PROVIDE FOR ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article J H of the Chart~r
of the City of Palo Alto, the Council of th~ City of Palo Alto did on June 26, 1972,
adopt a budget for the fiscal year 1972-73; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Palo Alto wishes to establish an Architectural
Review Board; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of providing staff assistance for the Architectural
Re\'iew Board for the remainder of the fiscal year is $5,300;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
~ON ~ The 1972-73 Salaries and Benefits appropriation for the Planning
Department be increased by Five Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($5,300 00) and that
the unappropriated balance of the Capital Improvement Fund be correspandingly decreased
and that an addition a] aS;sociate planner position be authorized.
SECflON 2 _ This ordinance shall become effective immediately as provided in Sed ion
12 of Artide !II of the Charter and Section 2.04.375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code
