ORDINANCE NO. 21~8
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE Cl'l'Y OF' PALO AL'rO
AMENDING THE BUDGI<;T FOR THE .F'ISCAL YEAR 197 J-1974
TO APPROPRIATE $5, 52 5 FOR 'I'HI-.: DEVELOPMENT OF THE
SICK CARE COMPONENT OF 'rHE CHILD CARE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions ot Section ll of Art1cle
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, the council did on
June 18, 19/3, adopt a budget for fiscal year 1913-]974; and'
WHERt;AS, the counc1l has included in its budget for 1973-
1974 a program of ch1ld care services to meet a demonstrated
oeed in the conununity; and
WHEREAS, sick care service is an essential part of the total
child care program requ1r~ng the training of indiViduals to de
liver the sick care service; and
WHEREAS, funds to provide for the training of Individuals
to provide sick care services are available trom the Health Ser
vices Education counc1l; and
WHEREASl the Council has entered into a contract w1th Health
Services Education Council.
NOW, 'l'HEREFORE, the Council of tht~ City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The sum ot $5,525.00 be appropriated for Social
Services Administration, other expense, and that departmental.
revenues for Social Services Administration be increased by
$5,5:.:!5.00 to reflect anticipated reimbursements from the Health
Serfices Education Counci 1.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective imrnectiately
as provided in Section li of Pxticle III of the Charter and
Section 2.04.37~ of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
