ORDINANCE NO. 2146_
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1973-1974,
TO ESTABLISH THE POSITION OF A SECOND ASSISTANT
CITY CLERK AND TO MAKE AN APPROPRIATION FOR-
COMPENSATION THEREFOR
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Article
III of the Charter of the city of Palo Alto, the Council did on
June 18, 1973, adopt a budget for the fiscal year 1973-1974; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to establish the position of a
second Assistant City Clerk and to provide an appropriation for
the salary and employee benefits related to said position.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. That the table of organization for the Office of
the City Clerk is amended to include the position of a second
Assistant City Clerk.
SECTION 2. That 1973-1974 General Fund appropriation for
salar~es and benefits in the Office of the City Clerk be increased
in the sum of Five 'thousand Dollars ($5,000); said amount bE!ing
sufficient for the remainder of the current fiscal year; and
that the estimated transfer of Sales Tax Revenue to the Capital
Improvem~nt Fund be correspondingly decreased.
SECTION 3~ '!'his ordinance shall become effective inunediately
as prov~ded ~n Sectionl2 of Article III of the Charter and Section
2.04 .. 375 of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
