The Council of the City of Pa lo Al to does ORD1\lN as
follows:
SEC'fION l. The Council of the City cf Palo Alto hereb:'/
finds that the public interest, health, safety, morals, peace,
confort and general welfare require that the zonin? of c0rtain
property known as 851 University Avenue, presently zoned us
R-1-R, be changed to P-F for the purpose of the operation of
a Residential 'rreatment Center as a portion of the Drug Abuse
Control Program of the City of Palo Alto.
SECTION 2. Section 18.08.040 of the Palo Alto Municipal
c'ode, the 11 Zoning Map," is hereby amended by changing the
zoning of certain property known as 851 University Avenue
from R-1-R to P-~. Said prop~rty is shown on a map attached
hereto, incorporated herein by r~~ference, and entitle·J "Change
of District from R-1-R to P-F."
SEC'l'ION 3. If said property is not used as described
in Section 1 herebf for a period in dxcess of ninety {90) days,
then and in that ~veni the public interest, health: safety,
morals, peace, comfort, convenience and general welfare require

that the zoning classification of said property shall auto-
matically -revert from P-F to ·R~·l-R;
