ORDINANCE NO. 2670
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ADDING SECTION-18.90.160 TO THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL
CODE TO PROVIDE FOR THE DURATION OF VARIANCES
SECTION 1. There is hereby added to the Palo Alto Municipal
Code a new_ section (18.90.160) to be entitled and to read as
follows:
11 18. 90·~ 160 -Duration· of var:ianc;:es. Any var1ance granted
pursuant to this chapter shall exist for the life of the
existing struc~ure or such as is constructed withi~ the
period set forth in section 18.90.120 of this code, unless
a_ d:i,fferent duration ·is specified by the City counciL ·
Wheriever·a variance is granted for thellife·of a structure,
.or otherspecified duration, an appropriate notice shall be
recorded with the County Recorder. This sectio_n shall not
be construed as justifying the granting of avariiinCE!·solely
because of the applicant's existing or proposed structure
upon the property affected."
