ORDINANCE NO. 2595
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING SECTION 10.44.020 OF THE PALO ALTO MUNI
CIPAL CODE TO PROHlBIT STANDING OR PARRING ON
STREETS BETWEEN 3:00 A.M. AND 6:00 A.M. WITHOUT A
PERMIT AND LlMITING THE NUMBER OF PERMITS WHICH
MAY BE ISfUED
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does. ORDAIN as fol-
lows:

SECTICN 1. ·:Section· 10. 44. OiO of the Palo Al to Municipal
_Code is amended to read as follows;

"10.44.020 Standing or parking, 3:00 a.m. tu 6:00 a.m.
(a) It is uulawful for the owner or driver of any
vehicle to allow S\lch vehicle to remain standing, or parked
upon any street or alley in thE! .. ci ~Y between the hours of
th~ee -a.m. and six a.m. without a permit therefor. This
section shall not apply to. vehicles of any liceni:;ed physician
when actually_ engaged in making professional calls.
(b) Permits -fc:;: standing or par~ing u:pon. any street
in the City between three a.m. and six a.m. may'be issued
by--. ~h~ Chief of Police. Applications for perrni ts shall
be signed by the' applicant, shall state the make, model
and license number of the vehicle-, -~he residence address

allow standing or parking on streets for temporary guests
of residents for a period of not more than fifteen days."
SECTION-2: -·This ordinance shall becorr.e ~f fecti ve -upon the
expiration·of thirty days f~om its passage.
