ORDINANCE NO, 2579
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PAJ,O ALTO
AMENDING SUBSECTION (a) of 'SECTION 2~04,.?.30 AND
SECTIO&S 2.04.250, 2.04.260 AND 2,04.270 GRAN~ING
TO THE MAYOR AUT~ORITY TC S~T ThE ~EGULAR MONTHLY
MEETING NIGHT OF STANDING COMMITTEES OF THE COUNCIL ..
'The council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as fol-
lows:
SECTION 1. section 2.04.230 of the Palo Alto-Municipal.
Code is hereby amended to read as-follows:
"2.04~230 ·Standing committees-Special committees.
(a) Not later tfian the S/"':.:::-r1d regular meeting of the
council in. July, the ma~/or shall .appoint three standing
conunittees trom the :nembers of the council consisting
of 'three or more members each. The Mayor sha~ll appoint
each counctlman to only one conunittee and sfrail appoint
one member of· each· coJtltilittee as 6hairman. 'i'he mayor'
may act as ex officio rnernbo3r of each committee. Not
later than the second regular meeting of the ·council · _
in July, the mayor shall set a ::ertain dav of .each month
f.or the meeting of eachconunittee which meeting shall
take place-on that certain day'each rno:lth at: "/:30 p.m.
at the city h.?.\:l."

Code.' is hereby amended to read as follows:
