M1ENDING SEC'I'ION 9.12.010 OF TllE PALO ALTO MUNI-
CIPJ\L com.; REGULATING THE USE OF LOUDSPEAKERS
The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as fol-
lows:
SECTION 1. Section 9.12.010 of the Palo Alto Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
11 9.12.010 9pen Air Loudspeakers. 'l'he use of electronic
equipment, including but not limited to amplifiers, radio
loudspeakers, phonographs, tape amplifiers, electroni
cally operated musical instruments or other device of
like design used for producing sound in or upon any public
street, park or grounds, or any other open area to which
the public has access, whether publicly or privately owned,
between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and one hour after sunrise
shall be unlawful.11
SECTION 2. ' This ordinance shall become effective upon
the expiration of t~irty ~ays from its p~ssage.
