OF 1~lfE CITY OF PALO ALTO AMENDING SECTION 22.04.070{b) O:F THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE TO:PROVIDE FOR CROWD CONTROL .. • .'1.0NITORS AT PUBLIC GATHERINGS 1: - The Council of the City of Palo Alto does ORDAIN as fol~ SECTION 1. Section 22.04.070(b) of the Palo Alto Municipal Code is hereby amended to provide as follows: "22.04.070(b) The director·shall grant the application when it compliep · wLth the standards and guidelines which ·are attached hereto and incorporated herein by.refer~~b~r arid desig­ nated as Exhibit A, and upciri granting any · · permit may impose reasonable requirements and conditions concerning the use of the park by applicant based upon Exhibit A. The director, upon the advice in wr~ting of the chief of police that the size and activity of the ex­ pected crowd will draw from other areas of·the . city so much police personnel for crowd control that 6th~r areas of the city will be left bn­ protected, shall impose a requirement of one .crowd control monitor per 100 persons expected to.attend the proposed activity. The director. shall require .a one hour· training program to be conducted by ,·the chief of police ~r his designee fbr the crowd control monitors at a reasonable time ~nd place prior to th~ proposed activityt which :time and pl'ace shall ba set by the. director or his d·esign·ee •..
