16.04.077 (DEMOLITION PERMITS-REPLACEMENT OF STRUCTURES)
TO THE PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE TO REQUIRE A BUILDING
PERMIT FOR A BUILDING TO.BE TAKEN OUT FOR REPLACEMENT

WHEREAS, because of the above factors, this ordinance is
an emergency measure required for the preservation of the public
peace, health and s~f•ty and is an urgency matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, the council of the City of Palo Alto doen
ORDAIN as follows:
,, SECTION 1. Section 16;04 .077 is added to the Palo Alto
Municipal Code to read as follows:
"16.04.077 Saction· 301(£) .sdded -Demolition permits-.

Because of the f acta set forth above and in order to protect
the public health, safety and welfare, the Council does declare
· that this is an emergency ordinance that shall take effect
immediately upon its passage~
SECTION 4. In accordance with the provisions of Sections
2.04.330 and 2.04.375 of the Palo .Alto Municipal Code this
ordinance shall become effective upon adoption~
