ORDINANCE NO. 2542
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2507. {ADOPTING A BUDGE'!' FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1969-70) TO INCREASE TfiE NUMBER OF
AUTHORIZED POSITIONS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 12 of Articie
III of the Charter of the City of Palo Alto, ~he Council did on
June 23 1 1969 adopt a budget for the fiscal year 1969-70; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to increase the number of
personnel authorized by said budget in order to establish a parking
enforcement unit st~ffed by employees other than peace officers;
NOW, THEREFORE, the council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The list of authorized positions for the Office
of the City Treasurer be amended to add:
Number Class Title
4 Parking Monitor
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective immediately
as provided by Section 12 of Article ~II of the Chaicer and
Section 2.04.375(a) of the Palo Alto Municipal Code.
