ORDINANCE NO. ZZ67
ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALO ALTO
APPROVING AND ADOPTING A PLAN FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF TENNIS COURTS\ IN MITCHELL PARK, "PROJECT NO. 65-7
WHEREAS, Section 5 of Article VIII of the Charter of the
City of Palo Alto requires that before any substantial building,
construction, reconstruction or development is cormnenced or
approved upon or with respect to any land held by the City for·

~ark purposes the Council shall first cause to b~ ~i~p~~ed
and by ordinance approve and adopt a plan therefor; and

WHEREAS, the City,Council did by Ordinance No. 2252 adopted
September 13, 1965, place Mitchell Park on the list of lands
used or· intended to be used for park purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Council proposes to construct two new· tennis
courts in Mitchell Park at an estimated cost of $35JOOO.OO;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Palo Alto does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. That the plan·attached hereto, identified as
·Plan for the Construction of Tennis Courts in

Projec~ 65-7, and marked "EXHIBIT A" be and the same,, pereby is
approved.
SECTION 2. This ordinance sball become effec,tive upon the ::
expiration of thirty, days from its.passage .
