The Council of the City of Pa:~o Alto does ORDAIN as follows~:
SECTION..!· Secti<m 19.152 of t:he Palo Alto Municipal Code
is hf::!:reby amt.>nded by the addition thereto of the following desig;tation
of street and declared prima facie speed limi.t:

effective ilm:nediately.
The reasons for its urg~mcy a:re that the Council is advised
by its staff that upon the basis of an engineering and traffic
investigation the present: pri.n1a facie speed limit of 65 miles per
hour is more than is safe or reasor..able on said street for the
o~dez·ly moven:Lent of traffic an.d if permitted to continue would
result in a hazardous situation ..
