ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF !HE CITY OF PALO ALTO
ADDINC SECTION 7 .. 13 TO THE ?ALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE
REGULATING 'rHE LNIDING OF AIRCRAFT
. The Council of the City of ?alo Alto does ORDAIN as follows:
SECTI.~);.. Section 7 w 13 is added to the Palo Alto Municipal
Code to read as follows:
lANDING OF AIRCRAFT REGULATED

(ar uAireraft" Defir.led.. The term "aircraft" as used in
this section" means a.t'ILY airplane, helicopter, or any other

parachute or other C()ntriv;:i.nce used primarily as safety

(b) Landing at Othe1: Than Established Ai;.aorts Prohibited ..
Except in case ot em1argenc~:-or for rescue mJ .. ssions, no
person shall land any airc:r:aft within the City except upon
an airport, aircraft landin.g field, heliport or helistop~
approved by the City .:::ounc :.1, except a.s set forth in
Paragraph (c) • ·
(c) Permit ®iplicati.on;_ C.>t~ditions. Applications for a
permit fo:t in requent neiT:opter landings shall be made
in 'lit:riting to the City Ma.n1ger and shall be accompanied by
a mAl? indicating the area :oncerned. The City Manager tl:'.ay
grant such application subject to such condit:lons as he
deem:s necessary to protect the public and s·1rrounding
property~ He may deny such an application when in his
opin.icn the grar..ting, ther«~of will adversely affect the
use or enjoyment of adjacent property in any way."
S.EC!ION 2. This ord.inanc.: shall become effective upon the
expi.·ration of thirty days. from its passage ..
