WHEREAS~ on the 13th day of Novembc~r, 1961, :t:he Council o:E
the City of Palo Alto did pass and adopt: Resoluti•'n No" 3450 g:lving
noti,::e of the pro,posal to annex ce1~tain uninhabit•!d territory to
the City of Palo Alto, said territcrry bE!ing there:ln de:~ignated as
"Bayshore-Embarca.dero Annexati~~:>n N<,. 3" said Reso:Luti.on describing
the ·::,oundaries of' the territor::;.· to be atLnexed; a.nd
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. J450 did contain a not:Ice of the
day, hour and place when and where the C:ouncil of th~ City of Palo
Alto would hear protests made by any pe:.:·son owning real property
wi:thin the territory proposed 1::0 be~ . .anne:xed, the t:i.DM:! of said
. hearing being not less than fo1rty 1:1or mc~re than st:,;cty days froru the
date of passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, notice of said hc.~ari1.1.g has been g:lvE:n by t~e City
Clerk as required by law.
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of Ja:11uary, 1962~ .at the hour of
7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambt!rs in the City Hall of the City of
Palo Alto, County of Santa Clara, State of C.alifo:rnia, said time
and place being t:he day, hou.r ;nnd :place fixed in said Resolu.~ion

City Council did hear and pass upon .all protests made to the pro
po!l,ed annexation and did determine that: :pri>tests had not been mede
by the owners of one-half of tbe value of th~ privately owned

assessment roll, nor by public owru~ra of one-half of the value ,of
the publicly owned territory p:topo:sed to be annexed as determin,ed
