Council conducted interviews for the Parks and Recreation Commission at the October 15, 2025 City Council meeting2 and one scheduled candidate, Marc Schoenen, was unable to attend the interview on that date. Per Council direction, we have rescheduled an interview for Marc Shoenen for October 20, 2025 and the candidate has confirmed their attendance with the City Clerk. Membership requirements for PRC are as follows: Palo Alto residency and demonstrated interest in parks, open space and recreation matters3. Additionally, no commissioners can be Councilmembers, officers, or employees of the City. Candidate Marc Schoenen has been informed that: 1. Interview is scheduled for 10 minutes (5:35 – 5:45 P.M.). The candidate may begin with 1-2 minutes of their experience and/or desire to serve. Interview is located in Council Chambers on the ground floor of City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave) or via Zoom; 3. Please arrive or join zoom 15 minutes before the scheduled time and check in with the clerk; 4. If joining via Zoom, make sure to use your name so the clerk can identify the candidate.
