City of Palo Alto City Manager’s Report TO:HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL FROM:CITY MANAGER DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DATE:DECEMBER 18, 2000 CMR: 433:00 SUBJECT:PROPERTY AGREEMENTS ENTERED INTO BY CITY MANAGER UNDER PALO ALTO MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 2.30.040(C), FISCAL YEAR 1999-00 This is an informational report and no Council action is required. DISCUSSION Palo Alto Municipal Code (PAMC) Section 2.30.040 authorizes the City Manager to enter into agreements for use of property or purchase of property where the term of any agreement for use of property is one year or less, or the City’s expenditures do not exceed $65,000. The PAMF also authorizes the City Manager to enter into lease or rental agreements with third parties at the Cubberley site for terms not in excess of five yeara. The PAMC requires a written report of all such agreements be made annually by the City Manager to the City Council. The attached report transmits the information required by the PAMC.
